- Newton Stewart (Galloway Hills) Walking Festival (May, duration: 7 days)
- Spring Fling Artists Open Studios in Dumfries & Galloway (May, last Sat + Sun + Mon)
- Book- and Craft Fair / Festival of the Book (May or June, one weekend)
- Creetown Country Music Festival (Sept, 3 - 4 days)
And a minimum stay of 3 nights on all bookings for :
- Easter
- Wigtown Literary Book Town Festival (Sept, 10 days duration).
Single person room occupancy during all above events - full B&B room rate payable.
Late availability for above dates: If the room is still available the day before, then it may be booked for 1 night or single

To make your stay more relaxing: you may choose to have an evening meal here on 3-5 days out of 7

The balance is payable in cash or by cheque at our B&B guest house.
Please note that your deposit is non-refundable if you need to cancel; refundable if cancellation is made by us.
We recommend that you take out travel / holiday insurance so that you are covered for any charges due on
cancellation.
We will hold the room for 4 days from time of making a reservation, by that time we need to be in receipt of the deposit
to secure your booking - otherwise the room is re-let.
On receipt of your cheque we confirm the booking & receipt of deposit, and we will enclose a detailed description
on how to find us.
Booking from abroad: the deposit should be paid by bank draft in Pounds Sterling drawn on a UK bank.
- As airmail takes longer from abroad we will hold your reservation for more than 4 days. Agreed on when booking.
In case you have pre-paid the full cost of your stay in advance and subsequently you cancel your booking: you will be
refunded minus the deposit and minus any bank charges to us from our bank in the UK for issuing such a refund cheque.
Arrival Time
Please let us know your approximate time of arrival (especially as after 6 pm we might assume a ‘no show’ and re-let the
room if not advised in advance).
Your room is available from 4:00 pm but you may park your car here earlier while exploring Wigtown and the book shops.
You are welcome to arrive late evening, even very late if driving here straight after finishing work when this would allow you
a full first day in this area. Again, please discuss when booking.
