The Master bedroom is a spacious and bright room with two extra long single beds (6’6’’ / 200 cm length) to provide twin accommodation. The windows have gorgeous Scottish Lace curtains and black-out blinds in addition to the lined curtains. The room is finished to a high standard and has a newly fitted real woodfloor.
The en suite includes a walk-in shower with a powerful electric shower; an ideal way for a fresh start to the day or simply soothe aching limbs after a long day’s walking or touring. You also find there a toilet and wash basin. A number of grab bars / handles are strategically placed throughout the en suite. Vinyl floor.
The master bedroom is equipped with tea and coffee facilities, hairdryer, alarm clock (ironing facilities on request). We have also included a range of accessories in the room for that added touch of luxury.
The room is ideal for a relaxing break or birthday treat.
In the cooler months, Oct - March, the beds are fitted with fleecy electric blankets.
Note to Asthma- & Allergy sufferers:
100% cotton bedding is used for pillow cases, bed sheets, duvet covers. The wood flooring / vinyl is cleaned with water. If you wish, rugs can be removed before your arrival; they are made of wool, cotton, man-made fibre. The porch has a fitted dirt trapping dust-buster carpet. We do not have any animals; guests cannot bring pets.

Guest Lounge / Dining Room also on the ground floor. This is an elegant and utterly comfortable room where you can unwind and relax. One of the easy chairs provides high armrests and a high seat. Beautiful real oakwood floor (new) with a large rug for cosiness! Sit back with a freshly brewed pot of tea or some hot chocolate and a piece of home baked cake after your arrival - served with our compliments. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and indulge yourself with the luxury of home baked bread and a full cooked Scottish breakfast or, if you prefer, a lighter option.
Dinner in the evening is available to guests staying a minimum of 7 nights to make your stay more relaxing, although eating places / restaurants are only a short walk away. By prior arrangement at the time of booking and available on 3 - 5 evenings out of 7.

Breakfasts are truly special at Arduaine, and bread is still home baked in our own kitchen; wholemeal bread as well as white ‘Farmhouse’ bread - delicious! Guests are able to buy ‘bread to take home’, freshly baked the night before departure; sliced and packed in a freezer bag.
For breakfast there is a varied menu to choose from, including porridge made with ‘old fashioned’ Jumbo Oats.
We cater for special diets such as those in need of a wheat- and gluten free celiac diet: the breakfast includes home baked ‘real’ bread - gluten free, of course, as well as porridge not made with oats and muesli and cereals, all gluten free. A gluten free packed lunch is available, if you wish. All prepared with insider knowledge by your celiac hostess. For diabetics we always have special breakfast items available: unsalted butter / margarine, marmalade / preserves with no added sugar. Non dairy soya milk is available, if you wish.
We try to source quality locally produced food; we also buy at the local family owned & run health food shop.
In the guest lounge there are well stocked book cases with a large variety of books, magazines, games as well as extensive visitor information, walking / cycle maps, details on over 20 golf courses (most less than 1 hour drive away, Turnberry 1 hour).
Free e mail access (and computer use) to allow you to keep in touch with family back home is available in the local library, open every day, and just ‘round the corner’ from us.
